Astra R-Nesting software

I cannot print two (or more) nesting plans on one page. Why is that?
Why a nesting plan is printed out in a scale different from the one I have set for it?

1. I cannot print two (or more) nesting plans on one page. Why is that?

Number of nesting plans printed on one page can be set on Print tab of Options dialog box. To print several nesting plans, perform Print nesting plans in list command of File menu. In case you pressed Print button of Standard toolbar, only one nesting plan which is active at the given moment, will be sent to printer.

2. Why a nesting plan is printed out in a scale different from the one I have set for it?

You can set any printing scale on Print tab of Options dialog box. At that remember, if a selected scale does not allow arranging one or a group of nesting plans on a page, a scale will be changed automatically.

3. Can I use Astra R-Nesting software for linear nesting?

Yes. At that take into consideration the following peculiarities:
- width of parts is to be equal to width (height, diameter etc) of a bar;
- value of top and bottom edges trimming is to be set as 0 mm;

4. At the start of the program the following message appears: "Order ... is opened by another user. Set this order as current on this computer?". What does it mean?

The Astra R-Nesting program allows simultaneous operation by several users in a local computer network. At that, in order to avoid violations/contradictions when editing files, a "busy flag" is assigned for the open file. The "busy flag" is removed after you stop working with the file. In case a computer was not shut down correctly (catastrophic reload, power-down etc), this "busy flag" cannot be removed properly. Thus at the next start of the program, even if it is not used in a local network, the mentioned message appears. In order to allow access to the order, answer "Yes" to this message. If you answer "No", you'll be able to access the order later.

5. How can I print out a nesting plan on an other PC, in case the Astra R-Nesting software is not installed there?

In order to print a nesting plan or any other technological documentation on a PC, where the Astra R-Nesting program is not installed, use Print to File option. After transferring this file to another computer, you can print it out. See paragraph "Print to File" in the Help system of the program for detailed information.

6. There is a progress bar with a time indicator, appearing during automatic nesting process. What time does it show?

Time elapsed from the start of the nesting process.
